Sorry to ask a stupid question, but what *is* that? A really ugly fish? A water buffalo in swirling dirt? By the way, the link takes you to the 2005 winners, so no help there.
It’s a walrus feeding on clams, surrounded by a cloud of disturbed sediment. This years winners aren’t on the NHM website yet, but three others are in the BBC report I’ve linked to.
