		<description>Thanks Carl. I happen to think that it's a beautiful creature, and I'm sure the specimen in the pic is particularly attractive to horseshoe bats of the opposite sex! 
Two species of bats with funny noses feature in &lt;a href="http://www.livescience.com/bestimg/index.php?cat=uglyanimal" rel="nofollow"&gt;a survey of the ugliest animals&lt;/a&gt;, but the horseshoe bat isn't one of them.
