The 11th European Drosophila Neurobiology Conference

neurologo25.JPGThe 11th European Drosophila Neurobiology Conference is taking place in Leuven, Belgium until tomorrow.

Organized by Patrick Callaerts and Bassem Hassan of the Flanders Interuniversity Institute for Biotechnology, it is an international event attended by 370 neurobiologists from 25 countries.

Today’s themed session is about Plasticity and Behaviour, and includes talks on presynaptic proteins, circadian oscillators and glutamate signalling in clock neurons. There will also be a workshop on imaging active neurons in the fruit fly nervous system.  

Tomorrow’s session is about Neural Dysfunction and will include talks on Drosophilia models of neurodegenerative disease.
