I’m not sure what the point of this 2,000 Bloggers project is, but I’m in it. I’ve seen it before, but today I’ve had three incoming links from others who have posted all the photos. I tend not to tag along when this kind of thing is going on, but there’s something fascinating about faces. Faces are very significant to us humans, and there are brain mechanisms and circuits specialized for facial recognition. Damage to the inferior temporal lobe, usually in the right hemisphere, can result in prosopagnosia, or ‘face blindness’, a condition in which facial recognition is impaired. Some prosopagnostics even have problems recognizing their own face.
As its name implies, the 2,000 bloggers project involves collecting photos of 2,000 bloggers. So far, 460 photos have been collected, each one linking to a blog. After glancing over them three or four times, I recognized a few: Guy Kawasaki, Zack Lynch, Michelle Malkin, Phil Plait, Martin Scoble, Donald Trump, the guy from ProBlogger and, of course, myself.
Do you recognize any of the faces below?
